Digi Formatting
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 25, 2026
1. Introduction
This policy outlines how DigiXperience handles personal data in connection with its apps for Confluence Cloud, including processing purposes and data usage. It covers two apps:
- Digi Formatting for Confluence
- Advanced Spaces List for Confluence
Both apps are built on Atlassian Forge and run on Atlassian's infrastructure. Neither has a DigiXperience backend, and neither sends customer data to DigiXperience or to any third party.
2. No processing of personal data by the app
2.1. Digi Formatting
Digi Formatting does not engage in collection, retrieval, transmission, recording, organization, storage, alteration, use, disclosure or processing of personal data. Every macro renders from the settings entered in its own configuration panel.
Configuration settings remain within Confluence pages themselves. The app maintains no independent database, doesn't access the Confluence REST API, and transmits nothing externally beyond the Atlassian ecosystem.
Digi Formatting requests no scopes.
It holds no Confluence permissions and cannot read your pages, spaces, users, attachments or comments.
2.2. Advanced Spaces List
Advanced Spaces List builds an inventory of the spaces on your Confluence site. It reads that information from Confluence through Atlassian's REST APIs and keeps it in the Forge SQL database that Atlassian provisions for your installation. That database sits in your site's own region and is not shared with any other customer.
DigiXperience has no access to that database. The Forge platform does not let an app's developers view the storage of a customer's production installation, and the app sends nothing back to us.
The app does not store email addresses or profile pictures. It stores nothing about people who merely view or edit pages, and it does not read page content.
Advanced Spaces List has no external service, makes no calls to any host outside the Atlassian platform, and does not send data to DigiXperience or to any third party. The data stays in your installation's Atlassian-hosted database, which DigiXperience cannot read.
The data is visible only inside your own Confluence site:
- The main screen is restricted by Confluence to site administrators.
- The page macros are visible to every user, but each one shows only spaces that Confluence returns for the person viewing the page. A space someone cannot see in Confluence is not shown to them by the app.
Advanced Spaces List is read-only: it never creates, changes or deletes anything in Confluence.
Its capabilities are defined by the scopes in the app descriptor, presented to the administrator at installation and enforced by Atlassian's platform. It requests:
read:space:confluence --> List spaces
read:space.permission:confluence --> Find space administrators
read:label:confluence --> Read space categories
read:page:confluence --> Count pages and attribute attachments to spaces
read:attachment:confluence --> Read attachment sizes
read:user:confluence --> Resolve administrator account IDs to display names
read:group:confluence --> Resolve administrator group IDs to group names
read:content-details:confluence --> Count content and read last-updated dates
read:confluence-space.summary --> Receive space events, so new spaces appear without waiting for the weekly refresh
storage:app --> Store the inventory in Forge SQL
3. What we do with the information we gather
When DigiXperience gathers information, for example when you contact support, it serves specific purposes: responding to requests, resolving reported issues, verifying entitlements, and communicating significant app updates.
We do not sell or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
We use this information to answer your request, to fix the reported problem, to verify your entitlement, and to notify you occasionally about important changes to the app. We do not sell or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
4. Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
5. Permissions
The maximum set of actions an app may perform is expressed in the scopes in the app descriptor and is presented to the administrator during installation. This security level is enforced by the Atlassian platform and cannot be bypassed by app implementations.
Digi Formatting requests no scopes.
It holds no Confluence permissions and cannot read your pages, spaces, users, attachments or comments.
Advanced Spaces List is read-only: it never creates, changes or deletes anything in Confluence.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app or our practices change. The version in force is the one published at the privacy policy link on the Atlassian Marketplace listing.
